Learning outcomes: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the sweat ceremony including:
•    The historical and cultural significances of the sweat lodge in First Nations traditions.
•    The spiritual and healing purpose of the sweat ceremony
•    The roles and responsibilities of participants and facilitators during the ceremony
•    The preparation and follow-up practices for participating in a sweat.
Building a Sweat Lodge
The workshop includes hands-on experience in building a sweat lodge, covering:
•    Selecting and preparing the site for the sweat lodge.
•    Gathering and preparing materials, such as willow branches and, coverings.
•    Step by step instructions for constructing the sweat lodge frame.
•    Properly covering and insulating the sweat lodge for use.
Conducting the Sweat Ceremony
Participants will learn how to conduct the sweat ceremony, including:
•    Preparing the fire and heating the stones.
•    Understanding the sequence of the ceremony and the significance of each stage.
•    Leading and participating in prayers, songs, and chants.
•    Ensuring the safety of all participants.
Cultural Significance and Storytelling
Throughout the workshop, facilitators will share cultural stories and teachings related to the sweat ceremony, including:
